Masses of outstanding Alternative music acts will be on tour this 2026, from up-and-coming stars to all - out, genre legends and superstars. They're all set to tour the entire expanse of North America this fall. Basement, the UK alternative rock band from Ipswich, England, is all set and ready to hit the road on their Wired USA Tour in support of their fifth studio album WIRED, released in May 2026, in what will probably become one of the leading live tours of fall, 2026. Joining them are Brooklyn-based indie rockers Momma, along with Big Boy and Febuary. It first began, way back in the olden days... Well, OK, the 1970s. A new category of Rock music came out of the independent and underground scenes of the time. Real Alternative music really came into its own as GenX peaked, a far more primitive time, before everything was chronically online. Life was good and the music was outstanding. Huge rock bands like Green Day, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Third Eye Blind and Red Hot Chili Peppers seemed unstoppable. Hip-Hop icons Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes and Ice Cube blew up; singer-songwriters Madonna, Alanis Morissette and Sarah McLachlan cemented their reputations as genre-defining superstars. Now, nearly a good few years after the turn of the Millennium, most of those 90s icons are still bringing epic tours, but this time they are joined by a new breed of Alt musician...
